September is Attendance Awareness Month. We look forward to seeing your child every day at school!

Natalie Robinson, Sylacauga High School senior, recently represented SHS at the Alabama Governor’s School held at Samford University. The program has been selecting rising juniors and seniors for over 30 years, based on their academic achievements, leadership qualities, creativity, and community service. The two-week program provided participants with college-level experience in various subjects such as arts, law, healthcare, engineering, entrepreneurship, and more - a total of 15 different courses to choose from. Congratulations!

Mrs. Spates’ classes have been busy! Last week their teams attempted to save Fred using the materials given. They couldn’t touch anything with their hands, but had to use paper clips to do all of the work. They had to get the lifesaver on Fred, and Fred had to be put in the boat to accomplish the task. The students used the scientific method to walk them through each step of the task.

Please review the new Sylacauga City Athletic guidelines.

HOSA kids are getting the “Price is Right” in healthcare!
