Sylacauga High School received a "B" on the Alabama State Report Card, which was released earlier this week. The score is calculated from academic achievement, academic growth, chronic absenteeism, graduation rates, and college and career readiness indicators. Not only did the school receive a "B," but significant improvements in achievement, growth, graduation rate, and college and career readiness were seen from the previous year's report card. Congratulations students, teachers, staff, and administration, on your hard work.

Sylacauga City Schools will have E-learning days on December 14 and 15 due to an increase in health-related absences.

The Sylacauga High School Library Club visited nursing homes in Sylacauga today to spread some Christmas cheer by singing Christmas carols to the residents. The members loved seeing the residents sing along with them. A special thank you to our Santa Claus Jamaceon Sanders who went around and visited the residents who could not make it to the caroling. The members received many compliments about how well-behaved and respectful they were. The Library Club wishes everyone a Merry Christmas!

The Sylacauga High School Library Club held a canned food drive from November 1-17. On Tuesday, November 21, Library Club President Lindsey Duncan and Secretary Asiyah Mickey dropped off the canned goods at the Care House. The Library Club is proud to support the community and hopes everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
