February 17, 2025, will be an eLearning Day to serve as a make-up day for the weather day from January 21, 2025. Students will engage in their lessons remotely, and assignments will be posted online. Congratulations to Library Club Poetry Contest Winner M'Kenzie Helton. Her poem "America Is Falling" will be included in the Appelley Publishing 2025 Rising Stars Collection. After winning the SHS Library Club's poetry contest, M'Kenzie's poem was entered in the Appelley Publishing National Student Poetry Contest. The winner of that contest will be announced on April 4, 2025. We wish M'Kenzie the best of luck!

We are excited to share with you the results of our most recent State Report Card. This report provides important insights into our performance across various academic and operational areas, including student achievement, graduation rates, attendance, and overall growth.
Sylacauga City Schools received a grade of 86 B. This grade reflects the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and the entire school community. We are proud of the progress we have made. We thank you for your ongoing support and collaboration. Together, we will continue to strive for excellence and ensure that our students are equipped for success both in and out of the classroom
SHS Boys Cross Country team competed in the State meet today in Danville, AL. Some of the athletes set their personal best time despite pain and injury. Your Aggie family is proud of you!

The Family Fun Day (Saturday) will include face painting, bouncy house, and a free yard sale.
