• Sylacauga City Schools is the cornerstone of a thriving community known as the “Marble City”. Our Board of Education is committed to excellence in everything we do including leadership, learning, and resources. The four schools in our system serve over 2,200 students in grades K-12. We also offer three Alabama’s First Class Pre-K classes which continue to receive glowing evaluations for their success.

Students in Sylacauga City Schools have many exciting learning opportunities available to them. Every student in grades 3-12 has a Chromebook issued to them as part of our Digital by Design technology initiative. Students in grade 6-12 can also choose from a robust offering of career and technical courses that focus on health science, computer science, engineering, business, family and consumer sciences, and manufacturing. High school students can take advanced placement and dual enrollment courses to get a jump start on college. New classrooms, labs, and media center at Sylacauga High School provide high-quality modern spaces for learning.

All students in grades K-5 participate in art, music, and STEM enrichment classes. Students in grades 6-12 can participate in choir, band, and theatre while enjoying our newly renovated performing arts center. We offer twelve different athletic sports that compete in newly renovated facilities.
